Finger Spool & DSMB Usage Free Workshop

September 5, 2022 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm

Free

Come and join Newhorizons.pro on this exciting, hands on workshop on finger spool and DSMB usage.  Finger spool is one of the most foundational scuba diving tools; it is used for deploying DSMBs, measure distance under water and laying a trace line (i.e. when penetrating a wreck).

On surface:

  1. How to prepare finger spool for diving
  2. What type of DSMB to use
  3. How to rig finger spool and DSMB, specifically for cold water diving

In the water:

  1. DSMB deployment practice: stationary and hovering
  2. Line tracing

If you are planning to get in the water with us, please RSVP to info@newhorizons.pro with your name and PADI certification number.  Finger spools, bolt snaps and DSMBs will be available for purchase on site at special workshop pricing!
